Spice Up Your Next Gathering
It can be tough finding interesting ways to host your
clients or friends. LEGACY Events recently planned
a truly unique cocktail reception for one of our clients, so we thought we would share it with our blog readers.
As a take on the recent article, Spirits of the South, as seen in Garden and Gun magazine, we helped our client host their VIPs for a
unique cocktails and hors d’ oeuvres reception at The Southern in downtown
Nashville.
The soiree featured several southern spirits like Belle Meade Bourbon, Tito’s Vodka, Popcorn Sutton’s to name a few, with guests sampling unique recipes that included these distilleries.
We welcomed Nelson’s GreenBrier Distillery and the two
brothers / co-owners, Andy and Charlie Nelson, to attend and mingle with the
crowd. After re-establishing the
family’s business in 2009, brothers Andy and Charlie Nelson have helped make
Belle Meade Bourbon one of the distillery’s signature brands used in Old
Fashioned recipes across the city. The
Southern created a signature cocktail, the Belle
Meade Old Fashioned, using Belle Meade Bourbon as one of many showcased to
the guests.
If you are looking to add fun and flavor to your next
gathering, try the recipe we did for this event as it was hit.
The Belle Meade Old Fashioned
1 tsp granulated sugar
1 tsp. water2 dashes Angostura bitters
1 slice orange peel
2 oz. Belle Meade Bourbon
Maraschino cheery
In an old-fashioned glass, muddle the sugar, water, bitters,
