Celebrity Barn Dance & Benefit Concert

a Success for MusiCares

The largest barn in the south was immaculately decorated: crystal chandeliers dangling from the ceiling, fresh sunflower centerpieces adorning the tables, and whiskey barrel cocktail tables continued the rustic theme.  Patrons were dressed in their cowboy best with their boots and bling. The entertainers belted out all of country music’s greatest hits that carried the dancing well into the night.

This scene was none other than the Celebrity Barn Dance & Benefit Concert, which host a headline talent Rodney Crowell dubbed “a sold-out success.” The Jaeckle Centre, an upscale equine performance and therapy center, provided the backdrop and ambiance; while award winning musicians Rodney Crowell, Vince Gill, and Elizabeth Cook provided the entertainment.  All parties came together to create a magical evening to support the work of MusiCares®, an organization that provides assistance to musicians during troubled times.

The evening consisted of a VIP Wine Reception, delicious buffet dinner topped with dessert from Gigi’s Cupcakes, a Live Auction benefiting MusiCares®, and Concert & Barn Dance featuring hosts Rodney Crowell, Vince Gill, and Elizabeth Cook. If guests were not sampling the refreshments or mingling with fellow attendees, they were packing the dance floor to listen and dance to the talented hosts.

To add to the buzz and excitement, numerous celebrities were in attendance to enjoy the evening, support their hosting friends, and raise money for a great cause. Author Mary Karr, Incubus band member Michael Einziger, violinist Annemarie Simpson, rock musician Cory Chisel, Olympic skater Scott Hamilton, keyboardist John Hobbs, fiddle musician Larry Franklin, bass player Brad Albin, steel guitarist Paul Franklin, drum musician Jerry Roe, saxophonist Jim Horn, and bass designer Sterling Ball added to this memorable event.  In addition, former Titans players, Brad Hopkins, Daniel Loper and Derrick Mason joined the crowd.

The Jaeckle Centre
For its inaugural opening, the event raised an estimated $30,000 for MusiCares®.  Co-Host and country crooner Vince Gill was the evening’s Auctioneer.  Gill created a bidding frenzy around the numerous incredible auction items, including tickets to Sunday’s final round of the 2014 Masters in Augusta, GA, a Gibson Maestro guitar autographed by country sensation Luke Bryan, and the ultimate VIP Experience starting with a picturesque trail ride at the Jaeckle Centre and ending at the home of Rodney Crowell for dinner prepared by renowned Chef Dean Fearing.

LEGACY Consulting, PR and Events would like to thank the Jaeckle Centre for inviting us to participate in this wonderful event.  We must also congratulate our staff, event committee, celebrities, sponsors, volunteers, young leaders, and the Nashville community.  Without all of these parties involvement, the Celebrity Barn Dance & Benefit Concert would not have been possible.  Thank you for allowing us to be part of this magical evening!  For more information, visit www.musicares.org.
