PearlPoint Cancer Support Hosts Cocktail Reception to
Celebrate Members of the 2013 Women’s Initiative

On September 19th, Denice Johnson, a longtime volunteer and former Women’s Event Chair, and her husband Milton Johnson, President and Chief Financial Officer of Nashville, Tennessee-based HCA, opened their exquisite home in Belle Meade to celebrate the 2013 members of the PearlPoint Cancer Support Women’s Initiative.

PearlPoint Cancer Support is an organization devoted to providing personalized guidance and compassionate support to any adult impacted by cancer.  From the moment of diagnosis, PearlPoint creates a meaningful relationship with patients and works with them to better navigate their cancer journey. In addition, all of their wonderful services, from clinical trial information to nutrition consultations, are free of charge, regardless of location or treatment facility.

In order to further their sincere contributions to the health community, PearlPoint has launched the Women’s Initiative, which is a year-long awareness campaign focusing on women’s cancer and caner-related issues. The members of the 2013 Women’s Initiative are making a major difference in the lives of women impacted by cancer with their support of PearlPoint’s mission and tireless work.

The cocktail reception was the perfect event to celebrate the 2013 Women’s Initiative members and their spouses as they enjoyed a comfortable evening with drinks and delicious hors d’ oeuvres.  Once guests had an opportunity to mingle with one another, Susan Hosbach, the President and CEO of PearlPoint Cancer Support, took the stage to speak about the Women’s Initiative and share details about PearlPoint’s expanding reach.

To conclude the night, country artist on Artista Nashville, Kristen Kelly, provided the musical entertainment.  Kristen shared a personal story about cancer and sang three songs for the patrons in attendance.
